Accident and Emergency

NAHS is the sole provider of medical services to the Shire of Wiluna. In addition to Primary Health services, NAHS is uniquely placed in that we are contracted by the WA Department of Health to provide comprehensive Accident and Emergency services.

Accident and Emergency services are provided 24/7 form our clinic, located at 44 Scotia Street in Wiluna. NAHS provides primary-level adult and paediatric emergency services in a clinical environment, that includes:

  • Two resuscitation bays
  • Ultrasound
  • X-Ray

NAHS Business hours are 8.00am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday. After-hours patients who have a requirement for emergency services are invited to press the call-bell locate dat the main entry to the clinic, for connection to the on-call clinician. We do ask that these out-of-hours presentations be kept to emergencies and that for all non-urgent services (dressings, nappies, formula or supply of medications) that you come and see our friendly staff during open hours, you won;t need an appointment as we welcome all walk-in patients.

NHS is an outpatient facility, which means patients cannot stay here for ongoing hospitalisation, also called inpatient care. Patients requiring hospitalisation will be referred to RFDS for transport to a tertiary hospital, usually in Perth.

 Ambulance

NAHS Community Paramedics provide emergency and non-emergency ambulance services to the Shire of Wiluna.

NAHS employs the Community Paramedic model to promote health and wellbeing for the population of Wiluna, the outlying mines and resource industries, pastoralists and stations, and any tourists who may be passing through the area.
