The new BHC program features six strategic outcome areas:

1 Health and nutrition

2 Substance misuse

3 Improved fitness

4 Creativity and cognition

5 Skills and employment pathways

6 Community capacity and leadership

To date, the new BHC program has attracted a commitment of $575,000 over 5 years from BHP Billiton Nickel West and a commitment from each of the community stakeholders listed above to participate in the planning and implementation of new strategies. Starting in June 2008 these community stakeholders will commence quarterly meetings to drive the implementation of the program and to monitor outcomes.
